Object photos, books and 3D models

Choose a camera-facing photo or a true GLB model; keep proportions.

When to use an object photo

Choose Object photo for a vase, cushion, sculpture or other photographed collectible. A clean transparent background works best. The photo is an upright plane that turns toward the visitor; it does not become a guessed 3D sculpture. Put it on a pedestal, shelf or suitable floor position and enter real dimensions. Depth helps placement/support calculations but does not reveal an unseen rear view.

Import a real 3D model

Use a self-contained GLB 2.0 with embedded textures: up to 10 MiB and 100,000 triangles. Uncompressed or Meshopt geometry and PNG/JPEG/WebP textures are supported; Draco/KTX2 and external texture files are not. Export a compatible GLB from your modelling tool first. Check the source licence and add required attribution when using third-party models.

Imported models keep their native bounding-box proportions. Adjust size using the actual dimensions and proportional scaling; confirm any unusual source units against a known measurement. Models retain orientation instead of turning toward the visitor.

Books

Books are built-in physical objects with editable width, height, thickness, cover/spine colours and an optional front-cover image. They can tilt/rotate and attach to supports. They count as artworks even without a cover image.
