Troubleshooting

Fix common image, import, connection, saving and embedding problems.

“The resized image is too large”

This refers to one prepared product image exceeding its texture-byte limit, not every image added together. A detailed rug may still encode above 4 MiB even at the chosen pixel size. Check WebP support in WordPress, the current plugin version and original source; choose 2048 if necessary or prepare a proportional WebP within the limit. For better catalogue detail, upload a separate high-resolution photo in 3dGallery. Resume continues at the failed product.

Connection fails or expires

Confirm the correct 3dGallery account, website and WooCommerce entitlement. Restart an expired account-approval request, then use Check connection. WordPress must reach the HTTPS service; inspect hosting/firewall/outgoing-request errors without sharing credentials. Update using ZIP replacement, not uninstall. Never paste sign-in links, tokens or API secrets into a support screenshot.

Import finishes but generation conflicts

A different editor or import may have changed the target gallery since the job started. Keep the newer draft, create a checkpoint, review the target/selection/settings and start a fresh import at the current revision. Do not force an old job to overwrite curated work. If a new gallery’s response was lost, retry the unchanged request and check the gallery list before starting a separate creation; after a full browser reload the original creation attempt is not retained.

Changes do not appear on the website

  • Wait for saving, then publish/update live; a saved draft alone does not change the viewer.
  • For WordPress, refresh account/exhibitions and confirm the intended gallery ID-shortcode. A draft is not in the published list.
  • For a standalone ZIP, export and upload the new files. Hosted publication does not update an old ZIP copy.
  • Inspect the actual iframe URL and any CMS/CDN page cache. Fullscreen or frames can be blocked by the host page’s permissions/policy.

Cannot walk or missing 3D

Check the gallery’s enclosed floor, spawn and furniture footprints; a closed door can block the path. Use Starting point to recover, or edit the layout. If WebGL is unavailable, use Object list/catalogue, enable hardware acceleration where supported and try another browser. For stuttering, use Graphics → Low and disable shadows before reducing image source quality.
